We run pole events differently…with care, intention and community at the centre.

How We Care

Why we lead with care

Care isn’t something we add on after the planning. It’s where we start. Every UKPPC event is built around the needs, safety and wellbeing of the people on stage and behind the scenes. From mental health support and accessibility to fair judging and proper snacks, we think through the details that make a difference.

We’re not trying to be perfect, but we are committed to doing better every time.

Before the Event

Care starts well before anyone steps on stage. At every UKPPC event, we put systems in place to support each performer as a whole person, not just a name on a list.

Mental health risk assessments

These are part of our standard planning. If a performer needs support, we aim to catch that early and make a plan together.

First time performer or competitor meetings

These are offered before every event. If it’s your first time performing with us, you’ll meet with a dedicated first time support person who will check in and walk you through what to expect.

Reasonable adjustments

These are built in, not requested. We offer adjustments as standard and work with each performer individually to make sure their needs are met.

Judges receive ED&I training

They must understand bias, representation and what inclusion means in practice.

Venue information is transparent.

Performers receive detailed, honest information about the space before applying.

The performer experience always comes first.

If you have a concern or a question, we’ll work with you to find a solution before it becomes a barrier.
